The last few weeks have given me a taste of what summer semester will look like as I recently enrolled in Paul Sherman’s UXD-6002-UXD in Practice course. I am excited to begin working on more hands-on assignments to prepare me for “real-world” experience.
Creating a persona was quite fun and engaging. I find that the development of a persona is super beneficial to the UXD experience and I intend to use this approach for each and every UXD project I come in contact with as a means to design a user friendly website.
Further, the exploration of web design aesthetics really got my wheels spinning as I embark on this new journey of graphic design and web development. The importance of colors, shapes, movement, sizes and more are elements that are crucial to UXD.
Dieter Rams’ (10) principles of Good Design helped me understand that good design requires trial and error but the goal of a UX Designer will always be to ensure that the product is beneficial to the user and the world around us.
As this course comes to an end, I will take the “Good Design is

…analogy with me and I can honestly say that I am more excited now more than ever before to test my knowledge in UX Principles and Concepts to excel in the UXD Practice course this summer.
Thank you for an awesome engaging course!
