Every week, I learn something new! I also find myself having Deja Vu when I have embarked on concepts that I have implemented before when designing my personal website.
Being a newbie to web development, I practically taught myself how to build my newly launched website. It took me months to navigate through the hosting site to design a layout that was in line with myself and the kayvickrelations brand.
More specifically, the terms learned this week, associated with such layout are as follows: Point, Line, Plane, Rhythm, Balance, Visual Hierarchy , Scale and Figure Ground.
Kayvickrelations.com being a blogging site, the first layout users see on the home page is a Visual Hierarchy with layers of blogging content–giving readers an opportunity to explore the many topics discussed in each Blog post.
Becoming more familiar with UXD terms & Concepts, will give me the necessary confidence when consulting potential clients.
